A system for effective moisture control
The DryChain10 (Kuivaketju10) is a free operational model for moisture control. By using DryChain10, you can effectively prevent and control moisture and water damage during and after a construction process. The service is used in cooperation with all parties involved in the construction or the management of the building.
DryChain10 is based on shared responsibility among all involved parties. The operational model is founded on a systematic combination of a risk list and a verification guide that are embedded in the online system (kk10.rala.fi) that facilitates the exchange of information between parties. The risk list has been designed to include the 10 main moisture risks in Finnish construction.
With DryChain10, it is possible to avoid over 80% of the consequential costs caused by moisture damage. In addition, using the system enables achieving the KK10 status for a construction site.
1. Covers all stages of the construction project, from planning to commission and maintenance.
2. Includes concrete instructions for all parties involved in the project.
3. The process advances under the surveillance of a nominated moisture management coordinator.
4. The use of DryChain10 sets a minimum standard for verification and documentation concerning moisture control.
5. The operational model adheres to the criteria of construction surveillance and the Act of Moisture Technical Functionality set by the Finnish Ministry of the Environment.
